Yuya Hoshi

I heard there are big balloon events in Hamilton by my teacher Chary , so I went to a Hamilton lake in the morning before class. I could take very good pictures. And today ’ s afternoon class was very excited. We should do a lot of tasks. For example , I took a picture with Kiwi student. It was very difficult for me to ask someone who doesn ’ t know me , but they were very kind so I could do my assignment. I could have a great experience today.  

I interviewed my host father , Gary. I should take a more 5minutes interview video because it is one of the assignment in Univ. I knew the first time that my host family came from another country several years ago. I was really surprised. I ’ m interested in immigration , so I could hear really good stories about immigration.

I could understand native English more and more. So I really enjoy class everyday. My teacher Chary , he tells very interesting stories every day. I could have very good times in class. But in Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon ’ s class is not so interesting. This like a junior high school ’ s english class in Japan. I wish I could choose a class. It was very boring. We couldn ’ t choose elective class eventually . It ’ s my few complaints.

I went to the Hobbiton movie set with my all international students of Aizu. I haven ’ t watch these movies which taken here , but I could really enjoy. I could understand why the film director decided to take such county place. There are so many sheep , cow , and beautiful environment. I wish I could live in such beautiful countryside. I really yearn for a such life.

I had a chance to make a presentation in class , so I gave a presentation about Great East Japan earthquake as a one of the victim. It was difficult for me to make presentations , but I could have a great experience for the future. I have only one week left to stay New Zealand ,  so I ’ ll continue to study hard.

I ’ m afraid I was yelled at my behavior by my host mother. I use my room very bad , so I made her angry. I forgot this room is not mine. I shouldn ’ t have done it. I will be more careful. I have only a few days left. I will be a good student.  

I went to Waitomo caves with my friends Yuhei. We missed the bus we had booked because the bus was displayed other place to go. But where we would take off was in the middle of the place. I learned it is important to ask in other people. I called the bus ’ s company and I was told that. By the way , we could book a bus and we went to Waitomo at noon. The glow warm caves were really beautiful. I couldn ’ t understand the guide said ,   but I enjoyed. I want to go to other caves. It was prohibited to take pictures in grow warm caves.

08/MAR/19~09/MAR/19 On Thursday, there is a Japanese class in Waikato University, so we helped the teacher to teach. I thought Japanese was very difficult. There was much time to talk to students, so I explained Aizu and Miyagi. My first pair like Japanese Animation. Second pair likes Japan very much. I really surprised their Japanese skill. I had a great time. I’ll participate next week too. After school, Gary took me to play billiards with his friends. I had never played it, but I could really enjoy. On Friday After school, Gary and Julie took me out to eat pizza. We ate it along the Waikato river. I like to eat outside, so I could relax.   Thanks your time ☆

5/MAR/19~7/MAR/19 I have been fulfilling days. On Monday , my host mother, Julie gave me a ride to school. Then , I met her one of child Isaak. He is a worker. After putting on him , we went to Uni. First day , I took a test and I was explained about many facility. The test was very difficult for me. The test result splits the class.  After school , I had a dinner with my host family and   I went to walk the dog with Gary and Julie. It is an everyday custom. On Tuesday , I was late for class because a bass was fully loaded. In Waikato pathway college , there are many countries students. It is a little difficult for me to hear the teacher said , but I ’ ve got more and more. I enjoy studying English with my classmates. In after school , I went to Chartwell, which is a big shopping mall in Hamilton. There are a lot of shops there. I went somewhere in Hamilton weekdays. It is almost an adventure!   Thanks for your time☆

I arrived in New Zealand. It was my first flight overseas. Fortunately ,  my next seat was empty ,  so I could be relaxed. Time difference between Japan and New Zealand is 4hours because of summer time. Yes , New Zealand is summer now. Japan , especially Aizu is too cold , but here is high temperature. After 1 and half hour drive , we arrived at Hamilton and I saw host family. At once , they took me to go to Hamilton Garden. There are so many people and store in every Sunday during this season. There were so beautiful garden represent many country garden. I could take many pictures. I had a wonderful time. By the way , in New Zealand , the day is too long in summer. The sunset time is 8 o ’ clock. It ’ s very strange for me. Tomorrow is my first day of school.   Thanks so much for your time ☆
